Fair Detective Contest

Fair Detective Contest

All fair attendees can participate in the “Crawford County Fair Detective” activity by visiting 14 stations all over the fairgrounds.  Participation is free for all youth and adults attending the Fair.  Pick up a special map and find out interesting facts about AGRICULTURE, one of Pennsylvania’s leading industries!

Picking up the map and visiting stations, finding out about that specific farming commodity, and getting a key word from each station are just part of the fun. Activity participants will learn new things about agriculture and make connections about the importance of farming.

Ready to participate?

The contest runs daily, Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Maps are located throughout the fairgrounds and at the fair office.

Follow the instructions on the map to visit the different stations then return it to the Fair Office, the Dairy Princess station in the Dairy Complex, or the Apiary display (beekeeping) in Home Show Building #2.

The fair detective is fun for all ages. The three age categories for prizes include:  children, teens and adults.  Daily prizes will be drawn each evening from the maps which are turned on that day.

On Saturday of fair at 11:00 a.m. the Fair Detective Contest Grand Prize Drawing will be held in the Youth Show Arena.

All the completed maps turned in throughout the week are eligible for the grand prize drawing. Only one map per person each day will be accepted.

Daily prizes include themed gift baskets and prizes from different associations, businesses and individuals, and loaded for school backpacks (we should have restaurant gift certificates and gas cards for older participants).

One grand prize will be given for each of the three age categories.
